BRiAN BiLLiONAIRE Builds NewHotMusic.com’s Next Chapter
By Chelsea Rogers, WDM Newscaster

When I sat down with BRiAN O’Connor for this exclusive Wireless Dealer Magazine interview, I wanted to understand how one creative ringtone idea grew into a chart-topping business and what he intends to build next. BRiAN O’Connor, Founder and CEO of NewHotMusic.com, an official division of the Billboard-charting entertainment company PGE, is known professionally throughout the music industry as BRiAN BiLLiONAIRE.
As he shared the company’s story with me, it became clear that he did not enter the ringtone market simply to follow a trend. He saw an opportunity to make mobile phones more personal, useful, and entertaining.
Instead of offering only shortened portions of popular songs, BRiAN created Phone Alert Ringtones that tell users who is calling by name, relationship, or profession before they ever look at the screen. More than 15 of his ringtones reached No. 1 on Apple’s iTunes ringtone charts, and several held leading positions for years. BRiAN told me that this long-running chart performance validated both the originality of the idea and the continuing demand for a product that combines convenience with entertainment.
What impressed me most was not simply that NewHotMusic.com reached No. 1, but that its products continued selling after many other digital trends had disappeared. Sustaining that kind of success requires more than a clever launch. It reflects BRiAN’s ability to recognize what customers enjoy, develop it into an easy-to-understand product, and keep the experience relevant as mobile habits change.
During our conversation, BRiAN made it clear that he does not view those achievements as a finished chapter. He is carrying forward an extensive catalog of more than 500 custom ringtones while strengthening the technology, talent, and creative resources behind NewHotMusic.com. He described this moment as an opportunity to introduce the company to a broader mobile audience, expand beyond the platforms that first established its name, and build new entertainment experiences around the same combination of usefulness and personality that made Phone Alert Ringtones successful.

Ringtone Hits Today!
I asked BRiAN why Phone Alert Ringtones have continued attracting customers for so many years. His answer returned to the uncomplicated strength of the original concept. “They solve a simple but real problem, and they are fun,” he told me. “Most people stop whatever they are doing when their phone rings because they need to find the phone and look at the screen. Our Phone Alert Ringtones removed that extra step. Whether the caller is Mom, a friend, a doctor, a customer, or a business contact, users immediately hear who is calling before they ever look at their phones.”
As BRiAN walked me through the product, I could understand why customers have continued responding to it. An ordinary incoming call immediately becomes more personal, while the ringtone provides information the listener recognizes without needing to check the device. That balance of usefulness and entertainment gives the product staying power. BRiAN did not create only a novelty; he developed a practical mobile feature that continues delivering convenience, personalization, and enjoyment years after its introduction.
The concept also fits naturally into the way people organize their lives. A customer can assign different alerts to family members, friends, doctors, business contacts, or other important callers and recognize the category of the call from across the room. BRiAN told me that this immediate recognition is a major reason the product has lasted: it does something understandable, it saves a small but repeated step, and it gives each phone a little more personality.
To me, the continuing demand says something important about BRiAN’s instincts as a product creator. Digital entertainment changes quickly, but products with a clear purpose can remain relevant. Phone Alert Ringtones have stayed recognizable because the experience is immediate: the phone rings—the customer hears who is calling, and the value of the product becomes obvious in that moment.

Building Something Bigger
As our interview moved from the ringtones themselves to the company behind them, BRiAN described how that original success helped him build a much larger operation. NewHotMusic.com now has a 15-member team that includes administration staff, accounting, software developers, cybersecurity specialists, quality-assurance professionals, user-experience designers, marketers, content creators, project managers, and operational support personnel. Hearing him describe that infrastructure showed me how seriously he has invested in protecting the platform, improving the customer experience, and preparing the business for broader growth.
BRiAN sees Android as the company’s next major opportunity to introduce Phone Alert Ringtones to a wider mobile audience. Apple’s iTunes platform helped establish NewHotMusic.com and carried its products to No. 1, but Android offers more direct ways to reach mobile customers. He told me that this flexibility creates room to adapt the ringtone experience, develop new mobile entertainment products, and place the company’s catalog in front of more consumers through channels designed for Android.
Music and Entertainment Remain at the Center
Music and entertainment remain at the center of BRiAN’s vision for the company. He described plans to expand NewHotMusic.com’s work with singers and performers through music videos, entertainment projects, and worldwide talent initiatives that connect artists with mobile audiences. To me, those plans sounded like a natural extension of the company he began building with Phone Alert Ringtones: using music, creativity, and technology to give consumers something personal and enjoyable while creating a larger stage for new talent.
When I asked BRiAN what excites him most about the future, his answer carried the same confidence and imagination that helped NewHotMusic.com become successful. “The most exciting part is that we are just getting started,” he told me. He sees the company’s proven ringtone catalog as an opening, not an ending, and believes its combination of technology, entertainment, and mobile personalization can support many more projects.
By the time our conversation turned toward wireless retail, BRiAN had already shown me the foundation behind his plans: years of chart performance, hundreds of original ringtone products, a multidisciplinary team, and a desire to expand across Android and other mobile channels. The final part of our interview focused on how he intends to turn those resources into a structured opportunity for dealers and participating partners.

A Retail Program Built for the Wireless Industry
BRiAN saved the complete retailer opportunity for the final part of our interview. The Phone Alert Ringtones Membership combines more than 500 custom ringtones in one program. Members receive exclusive alerts, monthly ringtone credits, and discounts on premium selections. BRiAN believes those continuing benefits give customers new reasons to personalize their phones while giving retailers a digital product connected to a proven catalog.
He describes participating businesses as partners rather than clients. “Clients purchase services. Partners build opportunities together,” he said. NewHotMusic.com supplies the membership, technology, marketing resources, digital delivery, fulfillment, and support. Retailers introduce the program to the mobile customers they already serve.
Every retailer receives a unique NewHotMusic.com link to share through in-store displays, QR codes, text messages, email, websites, and social media. When a customer purchases a $100 membership through that link, the referring retailer earns $25. BRiAN also described an additional commission structure that creates further earning opportunities as the link continues to be shared. NewHotMusic.com manages the transaction and digital delivery, so partners purchase no merchandise, use no warehouse space, and ship nothing.
NewHotMusic.com also provides ready-to-use promotional materials. BRiAN wants dealers to be able to introduce the membership at the counter, include it in a text or email, display a QR code, or feature it online without adding complicated operational requirements. The product is digital, easy to demonstrate, and supported by NewHotMusic.com.
BRiAN told me that membership sales can lead to broader collaboration. Retailers that build sales and customer engagement can be considered for cross-promotions, customer-acquisition campaigns, new digital products, and future mobile initiatives. With development, marketing, cybersecurity, fulfillment, and support already in place, he believes successful partners can grow through collaborative, profit-sharing relationships.
“Now we are giving customers new ways to enjoy those products while creating income and partnership opportunities for wireless retailers and brands,” BRiAN said.
I ended our interview believing that BRiAN BiLLiONAIRE is placing a proven product inside a broader membership and commission model and inviting wireless retailers and brands to participate in its next stage. For brands and retailers seeking customer engagement without inventory or shipping, BRiAN and NewHotMusic.com are worth watching – and worth getting to know.
